On Tuesday (28 October 2026), NATO Deputy Secretary General Radmila Shekerinska participated in the Kyiv Security Forum held in Brussels.

She explained how NATO’s support to Ukraine is unwavering and that 10 billion dollars of crucial equipment, including air defence, have already been delivered through NATO’s PURL initiative and US Foreign Military Sales.  With Russia continuing its attacks against Ukraine, Ms Shekerinska said it was important that Ukraine gets what it needs to defend its skies: “Every interceptor in our stockpiles matters, but every interceptor in the hands of Ukrainian Armed Forces means that we save lives every single day, and every single night.”

The Deputy Secretary General spoke alongside Vsevolod Chentsov, the Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration of Ukraine; Henna Virkkunen, the Executive Vice-President of the European Commission for Technological Sovereignty, Security, and Democracy; and Arseniy Yatsenyuk, former Prime Minister of Ukraine.
