Visit by the President of Lithuania, Mr. Valdas Adamkus, to NATO on 23 April 1998 Information The President of Lithuania, Mr. Valdas Adamkus, will visit NATO Headquarters on Thursday, 23 April. He will meet the Secretary General, Dr. Javier Solana, and the North Atlantic Council. The visit will begin at 10:00. MEDIA ADVISORY Programme of the visit 10:00 NATO Main Entrance. Arrival of Mr. Adamkus. Open coverage on a first-come, first-served basis. Followed immediately by a meeting with the Secretary General in the Private Office. In view of the limited space available, only a restricted pool will be authorized to cover the beginning of the meeting. 10:30 Room1: Meeting with North Atlantic Council. Welcoming remarks by the Secretary General and the Dean of Council, followed by reply by President Adamkus. Coverage of the beginning of the meeting by a restricted pool. 11:30 NATO Main Entrance. Meeting with the press. Open coverage.
