Visit by the President of Romania, Mr. Emil Constantinescu, to NATO on 4 February 1997 Information The President of Romania, Mr. Emil Constantinescu, will visit NATO Headquarters on Tuesday, 4 February. He will meet the Secretary General, Dr. Javier Solana, and Permanent Representatives on the North Atlantic Council. The visit will begin at 17:00. President Constantinescu's departure is expected at 18:45. MEDIA ADVISORY Programme of the Visit 16:55 NATO main entrance. Arrival of Mr. Constantinescu. Open coverage on a first-come, first-served basis. 17:00 Meeting with Secretary General in the Private Office. In view of the limited space available, only a restricted pool will be authorized to cover the beginning of the meeting. 17:30 Room 1: North Atlantic Council session. Introductory remarks by the Secretary General and the Dean of Council, followed by reply by President Constantinescu. Coverage of the beginning of the meeting by a restricted pool. 18:30 NATO main entrance. Meeting with the press. Departure of the President of Romania at around 18:45. Open coverage.
