Statement by the Secretary General on the Bosnian Elections I am very pleased with the overall conduct of the elections on Saturday. I am very proud of the extensive support provided by IFOR, from distributing ballot boxes to transporting the supervisors and observers. IFOR's main contribution was in ensuring that the elections took place peacefully, without major incidents or disturbances. We now await the report by the OSCE on the election results. Once the results of the elections are known, I urge the newly elected officials to work together in the establishment of the new common institutions for Bosnia and Herzegovina.
