Chairman, Center for Liberal Strategies, Sofia Ivan Krastev
Ivan Krastev is a political scientist and Chairman of the Board of the Centre for Liberal Strategies in Sofia, Bulgaria. In the last decade he has been visiting fellow at St. Anthony College, Oxford; Woodrow Wilson Center for International Scholars in Washington; Wissenschaftskolleg, Berlin; Institute of Federalism, University of Fribourg, Switzerland; Institute for Human Sciences, Vienna. Among his latest publications in English are: De-Balkanizing the Balkans: The State of the Debate, in “The International Spectator”, fall 2000; The Balkans: Democracy Without Choices, in Journal of Democracy, July 2002; Corruption, Anti-Corruption Sentiments, and the Rule of Law, in “Reshaping Globalization, Multilateral Dialogues and New Policy Initiatives”, fall 2003. His book “The Anti-Corruption Trap” is forthcoming in the CEU Press in 2004. From October 2003 he is the research director of the project “Understanding Anti-Americanisms in the World” coordinated by the Central European University, Budapest. ![]() |
