NATO Secretary General to attend NATO Parliamentarian Assembly during visit to Romania
The NATO Secretary General, Mr. Anders Fogh Rasmussen, will visit Romania on Monday, 10 October, on the occasion of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly.
During his visit, he will deliver a keynote speech at the Plenary Session of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly, starting at 9:50 local time. The speech will be webstreamed on www.nato.int/webstreaming/
During his visit, the Secretary General will meet with President Traian Basescu, Speaker of the Parliament Mircea Geoana, Speaker of the Chamber of Deputies Roberta Anastase, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Teodor Baconschi, and Minister of Defence Gabriel Oprea.
During a ceremony at the Ministry of Defence, Mr. Rasmussen will be awarded with the medal “Honour of the Romanian Armed Forces”.
