NATO Military Committee farewells Deputy Chair, Lieutenant General Lance Landrum
On Thursday 21 September, the NATO Military Committee bid farewell to Lieutenant General Lance Landrum, who served as the 23rd Deputy Chair of the NATO Military Committee since October 11, 2021.
The Deputy Chair of the Military Committee (DCMC) assists the Chair of the Military Committee (CMC) in the execution of his duties and takes over the CMC's duties in his absence, as well as, managing various portfolios, such as: Nuclear policy, Logistics Committee and IAMD related items.
The DCMC is, in addition, the Military Advisor to the Deputy Secretary General in his capacity as the Chair of the High Level Task Force, and Co-Chair of the Senior NATO Logisticians Committee.
In his farewell, the Chair of the NATO Military Committee Admiral Bauer praised General Landrum for his relentless dedication to his work and his unique ability to bring people together and encourage them to see things from another perspective. “You are an exceptionally quick thinker. With your in-depth knowledge and keen ambition to make the most out of every opportunity at hand, you have inspired all those who have worked with you. You leave this headquarters much stronger than when you arrived.”
